Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies – Celebrating 75 Years of Continuing Excellence
ABOUT US
Founded in 1851 and located just north of Chicago, Northwestern University is home to an elite group of faculty including Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners, MacArthur Fellowship recipients and members of numerous honorary and professional societies.
In addition, Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies (SCS) is celebrating 75 years of continuing excellence. With distinguished faculty, exceptional resources, and innovative programming, the quality of SCS programs has never been better.
Consistent with Northwestern’s dedication to excellence, our goal at SCS is to offer working professionals access to one of the nation’s premier institutions of higher learning — including access to the prestigious Feinberg School of Medicine and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Northwestern supports and recognizes leading medical organizations to advance the health care industry as a whole, including the American Medical Informatics Association, which is aspiring to train a new generation of 10,000 health care professionals in the field of health care informatics by the year 2010.
